Scope
The First Aid Level 2 (Intermediate) course is designed to provide comprehensive training for individuals who may encounter a wider range of emergencies. This two-day course includes all content from Level 1, along with advanced techniques and additional medical emergency management. It is suitable for those seeking more in-depth first-aid knowledge without needing to complete Level 1 first.

General Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
  • Apply both basic and intermediate first aid skills in various emergency scenarios.
  • Perform advanced CPR techniques and manage airway obstructions.
  • Recognize and manage shock, fainting, dislocations, fractures, head, and spinal injuries.
  • Handle poisoning, stings, bites, heat stress, and hypothermia.
  • Understand and apply the principles of managing eye injuries.
  • Conduct effective reporting and recording of first aid incidents.
Course Content:
  1. Role of the first aider as part of the chain of survival
  2. CPR theory
  3. Recognition and management of choking and recovery position
  4. Practical CPR and recovery position
  5. Recognition and management of bleeding and wounds
  6. Recognition and management of sprains and strains
  7. Recognition and management of burns
  8. Recognition and management of shock, fainting, and unconsciousness
  9. Recognition and management of dislocation and fracture
  10. Recognition and management of head and spinal injury
  11. Recognition and management of poisoning
  12. Recognition and management of stings and bites
  13. Recognition and management of heat stress and hypothermia
  14. Recognition and management of eye injury
  15. Simulations using first-aid equipment
  16. Practical assessment

Certificate:
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
  • A PT Samson Tiara certificate for First Aid Level 2;
  • A laminated wallet course qualification card.
Prerequisites:
  • Valid Medical Certificate from Doctor/Clinic.
