Scope
Business owners & managers are obliged to prevent, reduce and extinguish fires in the workplace, and extinguish fires in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia KEP-186 / MEN / 1999 concerning Firefighting Units in the Workplace.

The obligation to prevent, reduce and extinguish these fires is the establishment of a firefighting unit in the workplace and the organization of fire management training and practice drills. The different firefighting units consists of:
  • Fire Officer (Firefighting Level D)
  • Firefighting Team Member (Firefighting Level C)
  • Firefighting Unit Coordinator (Firefighting Level B)
  • HSE Expert on Firefighting (Firefighting Level A)
General Course Objectives:
Upon completion, participants are expected to be able to:
  1. Inspect & maintain fire prevention facilities
  2. Extinguish further fires
  3. Rescue & give first aid

Course Content:
  • HSE Laws and Regulations:
    • Law No. 1/1970
    • HSE Management System
    • Norms of HSE Firefighting
  • Knowledge of fire prevention techniques:
    • Fire theory and anatomy
    • Storage and handling of flammable/explosive materials
    • Methods of controlling work processes/use of equipment, installations, and other energy/heat
  • Installation of fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems:
    • Fire detection and alarm systems
    • Light fire extinguisher
    • Hydrant sprinklers
    • Chemical extinguishing system
    • Fire safety equipment
  • Means of evacuation:
    • Shortcuts, corridors, stairs, helipads, and assembly points
  • Maintenance, inspection, and testing of fire protection equipment
    • Installation of alarms, fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, etc.
  • Fire emergency response plan
    • Organizing an emergency response system
    • Procedures of a fire emergency response
    • Emergency victim aid
  • Practical exercises extinguishing large fires with fire extinguishers & hydrants
  • Class C Competency Test
Prerequisites:
  • Indonesian Citizen
  • Valid Firefighting Level D certificate
  • Copy of latest educational certificate (min. high school)
  • Digital photo, professionally attired, on red background.
  • Valid Medical Certificate from Doctor/Clinic.
  • Employment letter from current employer.
  • Copy of ID card (KTP).
