Scope
The Helicopter Firefighting and Rescue (HFR) certificate is valid for 2 (two) years and requires periodic renewal to ensure personnel continue to meet current safety and operational standards.

This refresher course is designed to update and reinforce participants’ knowledge, practical skills, and competencies in helicopter accident rescue and firefighting operations at airports and heliports.

General Course Objectives:
By the end of the HFR – Refresher course, participants will be able to:
  1. Maintain compliance with applicable aviation safety regulations and standards.
  2. Strengthen practical skills in helicopter rescue and firefighting operations.
  3. Enhance readiness and proficiency in responding to emergency situations at heliports and airports.

  • Emergency Service Regulations and Aviation Safety Standards for Airports and Helicopters
  • Helicopter Accident Rescue and Firefighting Practical Training
  • Helicopter Accident Management and Rescue Procedures

Prerequisites:
  • Medical Certificate (MCU Report) or a “Fit to Work” statement from a public health center, clinic, or company doctor
  • Certification of non-color blindness
  • Drug-free certificate
  • English Language Proficiency Declaration (template provided)
  • Two (2) professionally attired photos (2x3 cm) with a red background
  • Copy of latest educational certificate (minimum D3 or Senior High School with at least 2 years of aviation experience)
  • Copy of valid ID card
  • Valid previous HFR certificate
Certificate:
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
  • A certificate issued by the Training Provider approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Republic of Indonesia.
