Scope:
This competency training program for Confined Space Rescuer OHS Officer (Petugas K3 Penyelamat Ruang Terbatas) is a collaboration program with Kemenakertrans RI to comply with government regulations No. KEP.113/DJPK/IX/2006 concerning competence, curriculum, and special requirements for Confined Space Rescuer Occupational Health & Safety Officers (Petugas Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja Penyelamat Ruang Terbatas).

In addition to fulfilling the requirements of one of the government programs, participants are expected to be able to work safely in confined spaces and carry out work procedures in accordance with the confined space entry program in order to prevent work accidents and work-related illnesses, as well as other work safety activities.

General Course Objectives:
The objectives of the Confined Space Rescuer are that delegates will be able to understand and implement:
  • Occupational health and safety policy for work in confined spaces.
  • Principles of occupational health & safety in confined spaces.
  • Permit to work procedures.
  • Emergency Response (ERP) and Emergency response plans & procedures as well as how to communicate in confined spaces.
  • First aid procedures in confined space accidents
  • Personal Protective Equipment and breathing apparatus for work in confined spaces.
  • Rescue Techniques.

Course Content:
  • Theory:
    • K3 Laws & regulations in confined spaces.
    • Basics of K3 in confined spaces.
    • Permit to work procedures in confined/closed spaces.
    • Emergency Response Plan (ERP) procedures and how to communicate in Confined Space
    • First Aid procedures in confined space
    • Personal Protective Equipment for work in confined spaces.
    • Rescue Techniques
    • Evaluation
  • Practical:
    • Procedures for entering confined space & application of permit to work.
    • Procedure for use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
    • Rescue techniques and setting rescue equipment.
  • Test
Prerequisites:
  • Minimum of high school diploma with 2 years experience working in confined space industrial activities.
  • 3x Digital photo (2x3), professionally attired, on red background.
  • Valid Medical Certificate from Doctor/Clinic.
  • Letter of employment from current employer.
  • Copy of ID card.
  • Laptop or Android cellphone with a stable internet connection (applicable for blended method only)
