Scope The Flight Information (FI) license has a limited validity period and requires regular renewal to ensure personnel continue to meet current safety and operational standards.

This refresher course is specifically designed for certified personnel holding the FI license, providing updates on the latest regulations, air traffic services, and operational procedures. The program reinforces compliance, professionalism, and ongoing aviation safety.

General Course Objectives:
By the end of the Flight Information – Refresher course, participants will be able to:
  1. Update their knowledge of current regulations, flight information services, AMS, ATS, and abnormal situation handling.
  2. Maintain compliance with safety standards to minimise risks of accidents and incidents.
  3. Fulfill regulatory requirements for the renewal of their FI license.

  1. Overview of the Training Program
  2. Recent Issues and ACO Regulatory Updates
  3. Aeronautical Mobile Service (AMS)
  4. Air Traffic Services (ATS)
  5. En-Route Flight Information Services
  6. Supervision of En-Route Flight Information Services
  7. Handling of Abnormal Operating Conditions
  8. Examination

Accrediting Body: Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA)

Course Duration: 2 (two) days

Course Validation: 1 (one) year

Course Venue: Online (e-learning)

Prerequisites:
  • Application letter and registration form (template provided)
  • Medical Certificate (MCU Report) or "Fit to Work" statement from a public health center, clinic, or company doctor
  • Professionally attired photo with red background
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency (IELP) certificate (minimum level 4)
  • Copy of latest educational certificate (minimum D3 or Senior High School with at least 2 years of aviation experience)
  • Company-issued employment verification letter
  • Copy of valid ID card
  • Original FI license
  • Optional Add-ons: ICAO English Language Proficiency (IELP)
Certificate:
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
  • License issued by Directorate of Air Navigation Services.
