Aim & Objectives:
This program is designed for those who may be required to participate in the rescue of an
incapacitated worker from within a confined Space. The course uses intensive training drill to give trainees the skills required to conduct confined space rescue safely and effectively

Course content:
This program will review safe working procedures for Confined Spaces. Trainees will learn the
knowledge and skills required when planning and executing rescues from a variety of Confined Space. Knowledge and skills are acquired through a combination of lecture presentations, demonstrations and individual and team exercises. Trainees must successfully complete written and practical testing in order to receive course certification.

- Respiratory Protection
- Casualty Packaging
- Entry Programs & Permit Systems
- Atmospheric Hazards & Control Measures
- Confined Space Entry & Retrieval Equipment
- Body Manipulation
- Managing a Confined Space Rescue
- Practical training exercises will be conducted in the confined space simulator using the following equipment:
- Portable Gas Detection Systems
- Tripod Access & Retrieval Systems
- Davit Access & Retrieval Systems
- Respiratory Protection Equipment
- Communications Equipment
- Casualty Harnesses
- Lockout Equipment
- Spinal Immobilization Equipment
- Positive Pressure Ventilation Equipment
- Full Body Group E Harness
- Rope-based Retrieval Systems
- S.C.B.A. and S.A.R. Breathing Air Systems
- SKED Strecher Systems

Course Duration: Three (3) days
- Course Language:
The course conducted either in English or Bahasa Indonesia or Both
- Prerequisites:
Trainees should be in a good state of health and are expected to participate in all physical
training requirements.
- Certificate:
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
- A PT Samson Tiara certificate for Confined Space Entry & Rescue (CSER); and
- A laminated wallet course qualification card. Refresher training is recommended every one to two years.
