- Sea Survival at Sea
Samson Tiara is the only training center in South East Asia and one of the few in
the world that actually still practice going to sea as part of sea survival training.
The exercises learnt in the pool earlier must be demonstrated in the reality of
the ocean.
Liferafts are inflated and deployed by the students in real life situations. Righting
and entering the liferaft while at sea is performed by students along with correct
deployment of three types of flares.
The cost of going to sea for sea survival training is considerably more in terms
of equipment and manpower but it is well worth the added cost for the realism and
effective training gained from it.
Samson Tiara has 4 ea rigid hull rescue vessels, 2 lifeboats and a motorized 11m
launch to take students to the ocean and standby while training is in progress.
- Trained Instructors and Certified Courseware
Samson Tiara’s Instructors & Operators have been trained and certified by Survival
Systems Limited, who wrote the courseware currently in use.
Regular visits by SSL Canada are made to ensure the Course delivery and Courseware
is maintained and updated.
- International Recognition
Samson Tiara certification is widely accepted throughout the world and we are an
OPITO Certified training center.
Samson Tiara is the Indonesian IASST (International Association of Safety Survival
Training) representative and our Operations Manager is the Vice Chairman of the
OPITO Asia Pacific Training Providers Advisory Group. (OPITO AP TPAG).
Several times a year Samson Tiara Representatives travel to meetings throughout
the world to discuss and learn about developments in our industry.
