Location of the Training Facility at Cilegon
Located in the Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon, 5 minutes drive from the Anyer
(Cilegon Barat) turn off on the Jakarta Cilegon toll road. An easy one to one and
a half hours (85km) drive by toll road from Jakarta .
The purpose built facility features:
- The latest Modular Escape Training Simulator™ (METS™) manufactured by Survival Systems
Limited Canada
- Air-conditioned classrooms
- Training pool with climbing & jump off tower
- Lifeboat launching pool with a davit launched TEMPSC
- Fire Ground
- Three storey smoke house
- Confined space training module
- Both Indonesian and expatriate resident instructors.
The course material has been developed in conjunction
with Survival Systems Limited Canada, OPITO, IMO and other international bodies
to ensure current international training standards are met while maintaining suitability
to Indonesia's tropical environment. The training
centre itself is comprised of the training pool, four fully equipped classrooms,
maintenance building, offices, change rooms, fire.
Safe, clean sea access for sea survival exercises from
our Anyer campus adds stark realism to the training, while maintaining safety for
all students. Several rescue craft are always on standby when students are in the
ocean.
Transportation
Transportation to and from Jakarta is provided by Blue Bird bus. Departure is at
06:00 from the pick up point front of Hotel Atlet Century Park Jakarta. Local transportation
in Cilegon to and from the hotel listed is provided.
Accommodation
Accommodation in the Cilegon region will be supplied on request and trainees are
always welcome to make their own hotel and transport arrangements in the region.
We have a special agreement with Permata Krakatau Hotel to provide discounted accommodation
for students. The accommodation fee US$ 70.00 /night /person (including breakfast,
dinner, tax and service), This will be invoiced back to the customer plus 10% VAT
from Samson Tiara.
